Introduction to Turkey

Turkey, a bridge between Europe and Asia, is renowned for its rich history, diverse culture, and stunning landscapes. From the bustling bazaars of Istanbul to the ancient ruins of Ephesus and the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia, Turkey offers a blend of historical grandeur and natural beauty. As a first-time traveler, you’ll be enchanted by the vibrant mix of Eastern and Western influences, delectable cuisine, and warm hospitality that define this unique country.

  • Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul

    Arrive in Istanbul and check into your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring Sultanahmet Square, visiting the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Enjoy dinner at a traditional Turkish restaurant and take a stroll along the Bosphorus.

  • Day 2: Istanbul Sightseeing

    Visit Topkapi Palace in the morning, then head to the Grand Bazaar for some shopping and local snacks. In the afternoon, explore the Basilica Cistern and take a Bosphorus cruise to see the city from the water.

  • Day 3: Istanbul to Cappadocia

    Fly to Cappadocia. Upon arrival, check into your unique cave hotel. Explore the Göreme Open-Air Museum and take a sunset view from one of the region's famous viewpoints.

  • Day 4: Cappadocia Exploration

    Start your day with a hot air balloon ride over the surreal landscape of Cappadocia. After breakfast, visit the underground cities of Derinkuyu or Kaymakli, and explore the fairy chimneys and rock-cut churches in Pasabag and Devrent Valley.

  • Day 5: Cappadocia to Pamukkale

    Fly or drive to Pamukkale. Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon soaking in the thermal pools of Pamukkale and exploring the ancient ruins of Hierapolis nearby.

  • Day 6: Pamukkale to Ephesus

    Travel to Ephesus. Visit the ancient city, including the Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre, and the Temple of Artemis. Check into your hotel in Selçuk or nearby.

  • Day 7: Ephesus to Izmir

    Drive to Izmir and explore the city. Visit the Agora, the ancient market area, and the picturesque waterfront. Enjoy some leisure time shopping or relaxing at a local café.

  • Day 8: Izmir to Antalya

    Fly to Antalya. Spend the afternoon exploring the old town (Kaleiçi), with its narrow streets, Ottoman architecture, and Hadrian’s Gate. Relax at the beautiful Lara Beach or Konyaaltı Beach.

  • Day 9: Antalya to Pamphylia Region

    Take a day trip to the Pamphylia region, visiting the ancient ruins of Perge and Aspendos. Return to Antalya in the evening.

  • Day 10: Departure from Antalya

    Depending on your flight time, enjoy a final morning in Antalya. Relax at the beach or explore any remaining sights before heading to the airport for your departure.
